Recently, we have been working on a sale of our business. As the buyer was working to obtain a Federal Firearms License, ours lapsed. Currently, we do not have a valid Federal Firearms License. Furthermore, the sale has failed.
We are NOT going out of business. As we look for another buyer, we are still open our normal hours and operating as we normally would. However, we cannot accept trades or special orders for firearms. The guns we have in stock can be sold but must be transferred to another dealer for paperwork and a background check.
We are always happy to help you with guns, ammunition, accessories, classes and the range. We are working to find another buyer who will carry on our tradition of great prices and excellent service with a commitment to customer satisfaction. We appreciate your patience and your business. We are looking forward to another 40 years of Doug's. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Doug's Shoot’n Sports was started by Doug Larsen in 1974, and in 1984 became the first establishment in Utah to combine a gun store and shooting range. Though Doug has retired and his son Dave takes care of the store, the early traditions Doug created—selling guns as if they were our own, and treating our customers as good friends—are still employed today.
